“Welcome to the City” Event with Professor Jean-Luc Margot
Chair, UCLA Earth, Planetary, and Space Sciences
Professor Jean-Luc Margot, Chair of UCLA Department of Earth, Planetary, and Space Sciences, will take us on a tour of the solar system and beyond, highlighting at each step UCLA’s impressive contributions to the space exploration program. Starting at 6:30 p.m. we will meet in the UCLA Meteorite Museum, where some of the most remarkable samples from UCLA’s collection — one of the largest of its kind in the United States — are on display. Light refreshments will be served nearby the gallery. Afterwards we will transition to the Planetarium to hear Professor Margot’s talk. Dress in Layers.
